Team

The people behind the method.

Each member joined because they recognised the mathematics. Geometrica is incubated at Instituto Pedro Nunes in Coimbra, with a hub in Brussels.

José Belo

Makes sure the work can be trusted: every result can be checked, every step is recorded, and the rules are followed. He has led AI governance and policy at two global energy companies running critical infrastructure. Research Fellow at the University of Milan; member of the IAPP European Research Board and co-chair of the IAPP London Chapter.

Guillaume Maitre

Builds the technology behind Geometrica: the engineering, the AI and the computer-vision systems that turn the method into working software. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Namur, earned with Qualitics building autonomous drones and on-board vision models for high-voltage infrastructure inspection. He leads Geometrica's technology, engineering and autonomous-systems work.

Advisory board

The reading we measure ourselves against.

Each advisor joined for a specific field of our work - the academic reading we want to be checked against.

Physics · University of Coimbra

João Campos Gil, PhD

Associate Professor with Habilitation and research scientist at the Centre for Physics of the University of Coimbra (CFisUC), which takes part in the LISA, Einstein Telescope and Cosmic Explorer gravitational-wave consortia. He joined to bring the physics reading to the geometric methodology - in particular the physical context for the spacecraft-telemetry work.

José Pinto da Cunha, PhD

Professor Auxiliar at the University of Coimbra and researcher at LIP Coimbra, working on the direct detection of dark matter with liquid-xenon detectors in the LUX-ZEPLIN experiment. He brings the rare-event detection discipline of experimental physics - and, through LIP's space-radiation work, added context for the spacecraft-telemetry lens.

Humberto Rocha, PhD

Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Coimbra and Associate Professor with Habilitation. His PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics was earned jointly at Old Dominion University and NASA Langley Research Center. He applies optimisation and operations research across physics, aeronautics, and medicine, and brings the mathematician's reading to the framework's foundations.
