João Campos Gil, PhD
Research scientist at the Centre for Physics of the University of Coimbra (CFisUC), and Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology. His research uses muon spin rotation (μSR) and perturbed angular correlation (PAC) to study hydrogen states in semiconductors and oxides, with published work on cadmium sulfide, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and chalcopyrite solar-cell materials. CFisUC participates in the LISA Collaboration, the Einstein Telescope and Cosmic Explorer gravitational-wave consortia, EuCAPT, the Square Kilometre Array, and partnerships with the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute, Potsdam) and SISSA Trieste. He joined Geometrica's Advisory Board to bring the physics reading to the geometric methodology - and, in particular, the physical context for the spacecraft telemetry anomaly detection work.
